About Nuclear News

Nuclear News is the monthly magazine of the American Nuclear Society. It covers the latest developments in the nuclear field, a large part of which concerns nuclear energy-in particular, the 104 operating U.S. nuclear power plants, and more than 330 operating in the rest of the world. News reports cover plant operations, maintenance, security, international developments, waste management, fuel, and industry. Also covered are nonpower uses of nuclear science and technology, including nuclear medicine, food irradiation, and space nuclear applications. Each issue contains one or more in-depth feature articles, and occasional theme issues contain several feature articles on a single topic. Other sections of the magazine include calendar, calls for papers, short courses, publications, new products and services, and literature from suppliers.

The Nuclear News Buyers Guide is the premier commercial reference publication for the nuclear industry. Published as the special 13th issue of Nuclear News, the annual mid-April Buyers Guide lists nearly 900 suppliers throughout more than 450 categories of products and services for nuclear science and technology. The products, materials, and services section lists the names of companies that supply each item; the suppliers section lists company addresses, contact persons, phone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, and Web sites.

Advertisers will be short-rated if, within the calendar year of the first insertion, they do not use the amount of space upon which their billings have been established. Advertisers will be rebated if, within the calendar year of the first insertion, they have used sufficient additional space to warrant a lower rate than that at which they have been previously billed.
