Landis Challenge Phase II - Moving the Congressional Fellow Program Forward
Now that the ANS membership has successfully met the $50,000 goal of Landis Challenge Phase I, Mr. John W. Landis, ANS Past-President and Fellow, has given another challenge, this time to corporations and individuals. The goal of the Landis Challenge Phase II is to collect $50,000 in support of the ANS Congressional Fellow Program.
During Phase I, the ANS members, Local Sections and Professional Divisions contributed $52,428 to Society programs.
The Landis Challenge Phase II was initiated by another $50,000 gift from Landis. This gift supports the NEED Program, Landis Public Communications & Education Award, and provides $20,000 for the Congressional Fellow Program. Phase II Challenges organizations and others to support this valuable program, which brings an educated voice about nuclear science & technology issues to Washington, DC.
